University of Reading Degree

During my art studies, my practice explored themes of the natural world, food, architecture and colour psychology. This section documents my creative development from Studio 1 through to my final Degree Show.

Studio 1

My studio 1 practice focused on the natural world, specifically flowers, trees and coastal landscapes.

Studio 2

My studio 2 practice focused on the portrayal of food in art over the last 60 years.

Studio 3

My studio 3 practice combined art and psychology by learning about the relationship between architecture, colour and effect: considering the impact colour can have on emotional states and wellbeing, and delving into how colours attached to certain memories, emotions, or experiences can enhance the personal significance of buildings.

Studio 4

My studio 4 practice continued to combine art and psychology by learning about the relationship between architecture, colour and effect: considering the impact colour can have on emotional states and wellbeing, and delving into how colours attached to certain memories, emotions, or experiences can enhance the personal significance of buildings.
